Principal Scientist, modeling/simulation-location: MA
The successful candidate will support Discovery and Early Development programs
as the modeling and simulation expert from DMPK. The overall goal is to support
prediction of optimal dosing regimens for both biologics and small molecules
and integrate findings and modeling efforts across Discovery and Development,
as well as integrate findings and efforts with Clinical Pharmacology
activities. Close interaction with DMPK scientists at early stages should be
anticipated, to provide guidance on supporting in vivo and in vitro studies
needed to perform modeling.
Qualifications:

  *   A Ph.D. degree with 6+ years, or a M.S. with 10+ years, in
pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology or related disciplines.
  * The position requires in-depth knowledge of PKPD (direct and indirect)
modeling techniques and tools (e.g. WinNonLin/Phoenix, R) as well as
pharmacokinetics, compartmental and non-compartmental analysis of small
molecules and biologics with the goals of predicting an optimal dose regimen.
  * Experience with long-acting injectable formulations and pro-drug PK
modeling is a strong plus.
  * Expertise and experience in biologics for Oncology is considered a strong
plus. Expertise in PBPK methods would be a strong plus.
  * Strong organization, multi-tasking and communication skills are key
attributes of the successful candidate who should be able to explain results
and assumptions underlying modeling efforts to project teams.
  * Integration with Clinical Pharmacology is a core expectation for the
role. Individuals with first-author, peer-reviewed publications and/or
presentations will be strong candidates for this role.
