The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking to fill multiple leadership 
positions in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology (OCP), located in the Office 
of Translational Sciences (OTS), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research 
(CDER), FDA. Working at the FDA, you can make a difference in the lives of

direction of drug development at the national level.

As a Deputy Division Director, the incumbent will supervise a 
multi-disciplinary division of scientific professionals in regulatory science, 
policy implementation, and drug regulation. The following divisions within OCP 
are recruiting for the Deputy Division Director position with this 
announcement: Division of Translational and Precision Medicine (DTPM), Division 
of Infectious Disease Pharmacology (DIDP), Division of Cancer Pharmacology I 
(DCP I), and the Division of Cancer Pharmacology II (DCP II). Candidates may be 
considered for any of these positions or other leadership positions in the 
organization that may become available during this recruitment effort.


The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following:
 Experience in leading an interdisciplinary scientific team
 Expert knowledge of drug development and/or regulatory evaluation
 Track record as scientific thought leader
 Exceptional oral and written communication skills
 Ability to network and build consensus within a multi-disciplinary 
organization

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Basic Requirements:
Degree: A doctoral-level degree from an accredited institution of higher 
learning, including: Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., or other research doctoral-degree 
widely recognized in U.S. academe as equivalent to a Ph.D. in Biological 
Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or Pharmacy.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland.
