Applications are invited for a position as pharmacodynamics modeling specialist 
at the Precision Oncology Center of the Department of Oncology at CHUV, 
Lausanne, Switzerland. The successful applicant will join a motivated and 
unique multidisciplinary team of researchers working on data-centered precision 
oncology, including machine learning and image analysis approaches. The work 
will be in close collaboration with clinicians and scientists at CHUV and the 
Merck Institute for Pharmacometrics, as part of a collaborative project called 
"Real-World Tumor Dynamics". The objective is to create pharmacodynamics models 
for the effect of immunotherapeutic agents, based on tumor measurements from 
semi-automated analysis of medical images (PET/CT/MRI), and on treatment 
schedules and other clinical covariates for retrospective CHUV patients. This 
is one-year Post-doctoral position, but depending on the level of expertise of 
the candidate, this could be combined as part of a PhD program.

Qualifications:
The candidate will have a recent PhD or at least a Master's degree in 
quantitative discipline like engineering, pharmacology, computational biology, 
applied mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field. The 
applicant is expected to have qualifications, genuine interest, proficiency and 
hands-on experience in the following topics:


  *   Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) modeling methods
  *   Specialized Pharmacometrics software such as Monolix or NONMEM
  *   Mathematical software such as R or Matlab


Knowledge on medical information systems including ability to perform SQL 
queries, as well as expertise in data science and programming in Python or 
similar are assets.



Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. French is an advantage.

Salary:
The offered salary is competitive, defined according to the Canton de Vaud 
compensation grids.
