The Asian Pharmacometrics Network (APN) will hold a virtual course titled 
“Basic Pharmacometrics Course using Monolix” on June 3, 2021.


This is a basic and introductory course in pharmacometrics focusing on 
familiarizing students and scientists who are new to or wish to advance their 
knowledge in the area. Monolix is pharmacometrics software which has good user 
interface and is relatively simple to operate.

The course is hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Gadjah Mada, 
Indonesia, and will consist of asynchronous and synchronous (live Zoom) 
sessions.

The asynchronous sessions will use Moodle learning management systems in 
Universitas Gadjah Mada at efarmasetika.ugm.id<http://efarmasetika.ugm.id>. 
These sessions will consist of pretest and post-test quizzes, recorded 
presentations, assignments, and course certificates for participation. The 
contents will be available for registered participants one week prior to the 
course date of June 3, 2021.


The synchronous sessions will consist of a keynote speech and live Zoom 
workshops at the following schedule in Jakarta time (GMT +7):


09.00 - 09.15 : Opening (Prof. Agung Endro Nugroho, Dean of Faculty of 
Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada)
09.15 - 09.45 : Keynote Lecture: Pharmacometrics: Whether it has arrived to 
deliver for all the stakeholders? (Prof. M. Surulivel Rajan, Manipal College of 
Pharmaceutical Sciences, India)
10.00 - 12.00 : Workshop on basic data preparation and basic Monolix operation 
(Prof. Akhmad Kharis Nugroho, Universitas Gadjah Mada)
13.00 - 13.15 : Introduction of Lixoft and Monolix suite (Lixoft)
13.15 - 15.00 : Monolix suite for efficient PK and PK/PD modelling (Lixoft)
15.00 - 15.15 : Closing (APN board member)

APN currently has 15 member countries 
(http://www.go-apn.org/company/company_05.php) and is aiming at the development 
of pharmacometrics in Asia region. This workshop is part of our efforts to
