Dear all,
We welcome applications for new members of the PAGE Scientific Organising Committee (SOC)! As a member of the PAGE SOC you need to be active in the scientific programming (during the fall and winter), be available for reviewing (this year the entire month of April, extending into the first part of May), volunteer to chair at the PAGE meeting (June/July), and be willing to commit to a 5-year term. Given that the PAGE program is primarily built on selection of submitted abstracts, this is an important task. As an SOC member you are only concerned with the scientific programming, not with the logistics of the meeting itself. Candidates will need to sign a declaration stating availability of at least 4 working days (36 hours) per year to perform the following tasks if selected: a. actively contribute to the creation of the scientific programme for PAGE meetings b. actively contribute to the review and selection of abstracts c. actively participate in the organisation of the meeting (e.g. chairing sessions, contacting speakers, etc) d. actively contribute to scientific debate, suggest directions and focus areas for future PAGE meetings and activities Candidates should be regular PAGE participants and should submit the following details, which will be scored and ranked accordingly by an internal review panel: 1. Motivation letter, stating the candidate's suitability 2. A short curriculum (max 1 page), with focus on: a. scientific achievements and contribution to the field (drug development, drug discovery, therapeutics, methodologies, etc) b. experience as editor or reviewer (e.g. manuscripts) and/or contribution to the organisation of scientific events /proposal for scientific agenda, etc c. role in other scientific organisations Please submit your written application by sending an email to ad...@page-meeting.org<mailto:ad...@page-meeting.org> with ‘PAGE SOC application’ in the header by 17 February 2022 EOB at the latest. We currently search for 4 new members and we aim to appoint them so that they can be operational in April and take part in the abstract review for PAGE 2022 in April and May. A review panel consisting of 5 current PAGE SOC members and PAGE Advisors<https://www.page-meeting.org/default.asp?id=47&keuze=organisers> will rate and rank the applications based on the criteria above and, if necessary, a voting will take place by the complete PAGE SOC. We are looking forward to your application!
