By the way, I've heard that if you bond 100 copper pairs you can get absolutely *spectacular* speeds up to distances of 20 feet or so ... Unfortunately, most of that copper is now badly maintained and rotting away, and nobody in their right mind wants to deploy new copper plant. Local AT&T guys tell me that their biggest problem with U-verse installs is just finding usable pairs in the old (often buried) cable bundles -- and then praying that they *keep* working. --Lauren-- NNSquad Moderator
