FaceTime bug lets callers hear you before you answer (really)

Users have discovered a bug in Apple's FaceTime video-calling
application that allows you to hear audio from a person you're
calling before they accept the call--a critical bug that could
potentially be used as a tool by malicious users to invade the
        privacy of others.

Many years ago, on one of my visits to the 1127 lab where UNIX was
created (at Bell Labs, Murray Hill NJ) I noticed on the wall a joke "New
Bell System Custom Calling Features" sheet that included instructions
for the new "call monitoring" feature that supposedly let you dial a
prefix before a number then quietly listen in to any conversations on
that line. I really miss Bell Labs in its prime.
