It looks like I dropped the ball on this one. I'll answer it now though. In general, I don't recommend that you break out your paycheck like this because anything that is paid by your company doesn't actually show up in your cash flow. It gets tricky to deal with the split because MoneyWell assumes that your split total is your cash flow coming in or going out. MoneyWell is looking at your net transaction amount. I realize this is different than a product like Quicken, but the concept is that if you aren't dealing with the cash flow yourself, you shouldn't worry about tracking it. Let the payroll company or bank give you those detailed reports. > I have been recently breaking out my paycheck deposit in moneywell. This way you have those tracked without fighting a split transaction. > Also, one thing I have noticed is when I set accounts to "hidden", > they still show up on the drop down list when entering a transaction > in the transaction details pane. Stay safe in spite of Ike I'll review the hidden accounts issue in 1.4 and see if it can be changed. I think the problem had to do with transfer and seeing them in the transaction detail would cause a glitch if the "To:" account was hidden. The quick fix was to always show accounts.
