Hi

I can see that this topic has been discussed in some detail, but I am
still really really confused by Credit Card accounts and how to
correctly set one up.

I am just not sure what figure to enter in the 'balance' when I create
my new credit card account. As I see it there are three facets to such
an account:

1. The money that I currently owe on the card (say its $1000 (I wish:)
my bank calls this my Balance
2. My credit limit (say its $3000)
3. My Available Credit (which is the sum of 2-1 - in this case $2000)

I assume that I enter my Balance in ($1000) when I create the account.
And then when I spend on the card I flag the transactions as "Charge",
this makes them negative numbers.... which makers perfect sense

But, when I charge $100 to the credit card, my balance becomes $900. I
kinda think it should be $1,100....

Am I setting things up correctly?

Many thanks

Johnp
