I know that others have brought up modifying the spending plan so that
it is more friendly for those of us that get paid on a bi-weekly
basis. I would love to MoneyWell to have a spending plan like Mvelopes
(or Crown Money Map Financial Software, which is the desktop version
from Crown). Here's how I remember the way it works in Crown Money
Map.

In your spending plan, you select the frequency of your pay which
determines how many cash flows your spending plan allows each month
* Monthly pay = 1 cash flow per month
* Bi-monthly pay = 2 cash flows per month
* Bi-weekly pay = 3 cash flows per month (the 3rd cash flow is only
used 2x/year so that you have 26 pay periods per year)

When you're getting paid bi-weekly, but you need to accumulate enough
cash in 2 pay periods to cover a monthly bill, you simply allocate $0
for that bucket's 3rd cash flow. Whereas if you have expenses that you
accumulate bi-weekly every pay period, then you use all three cash
flows for that bucket. For example....

Monthly Utility bill = $300/mo
1st cash flow = $150
2nd cash flow = $150
3rd cash flow = $0

Bi-weekly Groceries or Dining Out (withdraw cash every pay day) = $100
every 2 weeks
1st cash flow = $100
2nd cash flow = $100
3rd cash flow = $100 (only allocated 2x/year)

Kevin -- Does that make sense? Any chance on seeing that in a future
version of MoneyWell?

All -- I'd be interested in hearing from more MoneyWell users on how
they setup their spending plan if they are getting paid on a bi-weekly
basis. Thanks.
