This is something I've been itching for, for quite some time. I wanted to see what other members of the forum thought about it...
Does anyone want a "custom" option in the spending plan, so you can allocate non-matching amounts for the first and second half of the month? I know the plan is to keep the interface simple, but this option would add nothing to interface at all, except for one more option on the Timing drop-down menu. One could set the Frequency to "Monthly," and the Timing to "Custom" (or "All Month Custom", whatever). Now, with that setting at "Custom" I could then custom allocate amounts for specific expenditures. Example: --I have a phone bill that's $150/month, but I only want to allocate $45 for the first half of the month and allocate the last $105 in the second half of the month. --With the Frequency as "Monthly" and the Timing as "Custom", I could enter $45 into the First column, and then BAM! the Second column auto- fills with the leftover $105 (because my Planned amount is already set at $150). Is this something that everyone would use? It HAS to be! With the current setup, if any of us out there using MW wants to allocate on a basis that is not 50/50, we have to create two separate buckets for the same expense (e.g., "Cell Phone", "Cell Phone 2"). I for one would prefer NOT to have separate buckets for the same expense. Isn't that the MW philosophy, anyway? Keep it simple? ;) Does anyone agree? --Chris --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
