I'd like to request a little feature for the spending plan. The ability to add a Note on each bucket, either globally (seen on mouse over of the buckets in the main screen, as well as in the spending plan), or just in the spending plan. It would be useful to take note of the breakdown of certain buckets. For example, I use my Debt Repayment bucket for a few things, including extra principal payments on my mortgage (debt snowball) and repayment of personal debts. Being able to see, at a glance, -why- I'm allocating $X to a bucket every month would be a useful thing.
Of course, right now I still keep track of such things, using a spreadsheet, but I think a note field would be useful. The You Need A Budget windows application (not unlike MoneyWell in scope, enveloope style budgeting there also) gained the note feature after it was requested by numerous users, so they could keep track of how much in each bucket was going to future expenses vs current. Of course, one could create a new bucket for each item, but that would make it very hard to see all one's buckets at a glance, and I dislike, conceptually, the idea of creating buckets for something that might be temporary. -- Chris Larson clarson at kergoth dot com clarson at mvista dot com Founder - BitBake, OpenEmbedded, OpenZaurus Maintainer - Tslib Software Engineer MontaVista Software, Inc. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
