That would be true if these were both the same action, but they are  
not. The status change on the Transaction Detail allows you to change  
the status completely. You are going from one status, cleared, to  
another status, pending. The context menu gives you direct access to  
each flag and you are basically toggling a flag on and off so you can  
turn on and off pending or reconciled without losing the cleared status.

If I didn't do this then when you toggled pending, what would it  
toggle back to? Open? But what if it was a downloaded transaction,  
shouldn't it toggle back to cleared?

The cleared flag is a special case because it also signifies that you  
imported or downloaded this transaction and I don't want to clear this  
flag unless the user specifically sets the open status in the  
transaction detail.

I spent a lot of time making sure this flow is correct and I'm pretty  
sure it's spot on. Thanks for the dialog though.
