Hi Matt, What amount are you entering? We haven't updated our video tutorial for splits so it looks old but the concept is the same: http://nothirst.com/tutorials/MoneyWell-SplittingTransactions/ The basics are that you create a transaction with the full amount of your receipt and assign a bucket to that transaction. Then you create a split from that and start to change the amounts in the split to the smaller amounts of your child transactions. Let me know if this helps.
