I am seeing that whenever i transfer using the transfer option in v 1.4.2 (217) that it always brings up 'no value' as the filled data for both fields... however since i have a lot of historic accounts i have to scroll all the up to the top to get back to the top of my list - being that its organized by current accounts and old accounts in that order... but for some reason it starts you at the bottom of the list w/ transfers (no value being at the bottom). With the way the pop out is attached to the the toolbar i cant move it to give it more room to show the entire list of transfer accounts. (feature request follows)
there are a few ways to make this easier for users. My Preferred would be that it pre-fill in the account from -- based on the one i am currently in / viewing... and the to - based on the 'last' transfer i did (in my case - and i suspect many others - its checking to savings... ) (i have to scroll up past around 100 items to get to my top used accounts... typing the quick first letter of the account name doesn't work since i have 5 other accounts - 4 old in the bottom of the list that start w/ the same letter) And I guess i would prefer to 'hide' hidden accounts from these lists in the app (as is done in the q' program, under account settings "hide in q")... so that i have a clean, current only transfer list, and to / from lists in the transaction menu... again i need the accounts for historical data - but they are closed - and not in use - therefore i don't need them cluttering up my transfer & to / from list drop downs. You have mentioned that they are not completely hidden as they are used for data compilation in various areas... Perhaps creating a flag or check box for the user for hidden accounts -- "hide from menu lists".... or "hide from all (including buckets etc)"... also "use in calculating income / expense / buckets" etc ... would serve the purpose of users being able to determine when we see and or use data in old /hidden accounts course it may also be solved by simply detaching the transfer window - so we can move it to the middle - allowing the list to be a drop down rather than the space restricted 'drop up' currently in place. but that would still show the whole list.... just in an easier to use format. thanks for listening :) mary lou --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
