Instead of showing a running balance column, MoneyWell shows you a daily balance at the bottom of the main window. This is actually more accurate than a running balance because financial institutions don't process individual transactions as they happen but instead wait until the end of business day cut off to post your balance. The running balance has been popular because it emulates the old checkbook register we have used but isn't really correct in relation to the world of banking.
