Rich,

Yes. Export to a QIF (make sure you do all transactions) and then  
import into a new file. MoneyWell always makes backups when a new file  
format is used and it's a good idea to save these. It's also a good  
idea to use Time Machine or a similar backup solution so you have some  
peace of mind in case a hard drive fails. I speak from very personal  
experience as my wife's Mac just had a drive fail. If it wasn't for  
backups, there would have been much anguish in the Hoctor household.
