I'm pretty new at this, but couldn't you just save your old Moneywell  
file and start a new one as of Feb 1st, just like you were switching  
to Moneywell for the first time?  When I switched, I didn't bother  
importing years of transactions from Quicken, I just started fresh.   
I've still got Quicken if I need to look at historical data for some  
reason.
