Hi Gary,

It's difficult to switch banks based on what they do or do not charge  
for right now. For years, Chase didn't charge for direct access and  
then last summer they started to do it also. It's a hassle switching  
and if you find out that a bank doesn't give you the nice detail in a  
direct connect or download that you had with your last bank, that  
could be frustrating too.

One thing I like about Chase that I didn't see at Wachovia was the  
immediate processing of my transactions. Chase would show a pending  
transaction on their website minutes after it happened (freaked out my  
wife the first time I asked her what she just bought at Macy's when  
she hadn't left the store yet). This kind of solid information  
processing has helped keep me with them even though I pay $9.95 per  
month to use one-click MoneyWell access.
