I use a web service called dropbox. You can learn more about it here
(www.getdropbox.com). It is a service that allows you to sync files
across computers via the web. You get 2GB free or up to 50GB for $99/
year. I have MoneyWell on my iMac and my Powerbook and they sync up
using dropbox. Basically as soon as a file is saved, dropbox updates
the web server version and if the other computer is connected to the
internet, it automatically pushes the updated version of the file to
it and vice versa. The transmissions are handled securely via SSL and
the files are encrypted on the web server. It works very well for
me. I am careful not to be in MoneyWell at the same time my wife is
but dropbox says that it will resolve these conflicts this by creating
a "conflicted" version that you can then reconcile. I haven't tried
that to see how it works though.
