Kevin, The sample file you sent shows everything correctly. You told it to start cash flow tracking April 1, 2009 and put $50 in Salary. Then you added an Income transaction of $200 and assigned it to Salary giving you $250 to spend this month. You then allocated $100 each to the Automobile and Charity buckets. This gives you $100 to spend in each of those buckets. Now you have transactions and money flows from March but since you have your start date as April 1, all those are ignored for your cash flow tracking. If you change that back to March 1, 2009, those will count for your cash flow. I recommend leaving your start date as April 1, so you can have a clean beginning.
