I remain in a happy place as a user of Moneywell, but there is a bit of odd behavior that I'd like to understand better.
I'm pretty diligent about entering my transactions before I download them from my bank, and there's a restaurant at which I eat lunch a couple times a week (say, Mondays and Fridays). When I download the transactions from my bank on Tuesday morning, it matches Friday's transaction with Monday's lunch and leaves Friday uncleared - then I have to "un-merge" by de-clearing Monday's lunch, clearing Friday's, etc. It seems like Moneywell is searching from the most recent uncleared transactions backwards, rather than from the oldest uncleared transactions forward, which is counterintuitive to me. Am I misunderstanding something? Is this a "bug or a feature"? ;-) Also, when I go to reconcile, I'm curious why transactions that have cleared for an account within the period defined by the statement aren't "auto-reconciled" with a checkmark. It would save a lot of mousing were that feature available, and I know MW tracks the cleared- on date of transactions. Is that in the future, or is there a design reason why that can't be an option? - Daren --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "No Thirst Software User Forum" group.
