It's almost like whoever created this was working under Cygwin or so shell other than the "Visual Studio Command Prompt" shell. Whatever the problem is, it is new since the node 0.6.7 or 0.6.8 tarballs. I am really hoping it's not upstream... but I agree it looks that way at first glance. I'd be happy to fix it if I could find it. :)
