hi all, I have been mapping out an idea for a few hosted business applications. Now typically i am not one to jump on the next big thing bandwagon, and probably missing the just build it in what you know point, but for this venture i want to jump off the microsoft stack that i am used to and build this is system in something i can structure the business around and use something that gets out of my way.
I love what i am reading about node, and although i have to push my javascript knowledge i am happy and comfortable to do that. i want to get a feel from people in the trenches if node will be a good use case for it, i have read that it is not a good use case for CRUD apps, but seeing applications like learnboost, it appears that maybe that may not be 100% accurate, or there may be something i am missing. The applications in general will be traditional CRUD apps but further down the line there will be requirements for realtime info flowing from the app to the user across several platforms and from my understanding so far node excels here. Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.
