http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180 http://superuser.com/questions/345759/export-csv-with-values-enclosed-with-double-quotes , fields should be allowed to have escaped character via double quotes. Excel and almost every other mainstream editor for CSV seems to deal with this fine.
