Mostly out of #libcouchbase in IRC on freenode, we've had an effort going on around node.js based upon libcouchbase. There hasn't been much mailing list traffic-- it's mostly been IRC conversations. We decided to make a few changes to the C library to be better compatible with node.js in moving to something more like libev instead of the libevent we've been using for libcouchbase. This was based on some feedback from Ron Korving over there. Mark Nunberg has a prototype here: https://github.com/mnunberg/libcouchbase/tree/protostream and Trond Norbye was looking at how to get that back into libcouchbase. From there, we believe it'll be pretty straightforward to put together a good API on top of it. We'll post more details when we have something released/releaseable. If you want to pitch in, let us know!
