I have never been hit by one. Can you  give an example?  I'm not referring
to changes that relate to undocumented behavior.

I was referring to a blog entry by resig where he was bitching that he
tried to make an incompatible change and the community revolted and he had
to undo the change.  I can find it for you if you wish.

I have no problem with deprecating.  That is the friendly way to handle
these things.  Causing pain among the base is not the way keep them happy.
