Hi everyone!
I'm trying to read from and write to Tap/Tun devices on Mac OS X Leopard
(http://tuntaposx.sourceforge.net/). Did anyone ever do this? ;-)
Basically I thought they're just sockets, so I should be able to use them
as described in the net documentation, i.e.:
var net = require('net');
var server = net.createServer(function(c) { //'connection' listener
console.log('server connected');
c.on('end', function() {
console.log('server disconnected');
});
c.write('hello\r\n');
});
server.listen('/dev/tun0', function() { //'listening' listener
console.log('server bound');
});
Yet this doesn't work for me, I get this relatively short but for me
unhelpful error:
node.js:201
throw e; // process.nextTick error, or 'error' event on first tick
^
Error: listen EACCES
at errnoException (net.js:670:11)
at Array.0 (net.js:756:28)
at EventEmitter._tickCallback (node.js:192:40)
Can anyone help me with that?
Thanks, Benni.
