His words were something along the lines of "i don't trust Joyent with it" and that Yahoo should fork node. It shows a complete lack of understanding of how node is developed and how our community works. Joyent's involvement has been positive, as they have paid several core contributors include Ryan and Isaacs, but their involvement has never driven the project in a direction that the community wasn't behind for some sort of other corporate interest, nor do I think such an act would even be possible given the dynamics and transparency we have in the project.
