Hi, If you have no interest in IoT then this will not be relevant, sorry.
Now that we have all these cheap and low-power linux platforms I want to use those for controlling custom hardware in the way we have used Arduino up to now.
I recently tested node on Raspberry Pi and it seems to work great. I also tried the Mosquitto MQTT broker and its node module and also some hardware interfacing (written in C).
The next step is to explore node "Addons" to make the hardware interfacing accessible to node. I have in mind to create some open source examples to take to the OSHUG meetup in March.
While pondering that I wondered if any of you node folks have done this or are thinking about it. If so we should tallk.
