Hello all,

I'm happy to announce that the next version of Sage ERP X3, our flagship
ERP product, will embed node.js. We will be demoing the technology at our
annual Global Convention in Berlin on April 8-11:
http://convention.sageerpx3.com/home (picture is the real team).

I'll be on stage for a technology keynote and I'll be saying lots of good
things about node.js. It was a rather bold move for us to pick node in the
summer of 2010 but we have gone a long way since then. Of course, the core
of our ERP is still running on a traditional SQL architecture but all the
new front-end technology that we have been developping for the new version
is based on node.js, MongoDB and jQuery.

We are not done yet and I cannot disclose details about version
availability but we'll be demoing cool stuff.

I'm not expecting to meet too many noders at the event :-( but I wanted to
let you know (Berliners can ping me on https://twitter.com/bjouhier) . Node
is not just for the latest and coolest high traffic web sites, there is
also room for it in enterprise software.

And, even if we had some hot technical debates from time to time, I want to
thank the node team for the care and love they give to node.js

Bruno
