The idea of interfacing with embedded devices is awesome, but getting that tech here in my location is very very difficult. I'm thinking in trying something with realtime like Pedro said, but what can I do with 40 peps that isn't chat? If I knew that every computer would have webcam I could do a massive videoconf with peerjs.
