Hello everyone! I came to you with questions as I was struggling not only with Node.js addon development, but really using C++ for the first time. And, it turns out everyone here is INCREDIBLY nice and helpful.
So thanks for taking the couple questions I had over the last few months and helping me along. What I ended up producing was an addon I call NuiMotion (or natural user interface motion). It uses a depth and motion sensing camera like the Kinect or Primesense Carmine or Asus Xtion and does gesture and skeleton tracking. It uses OpenNI and NiTE behind the scenes, and so it is a little like other projects you'll see on NPM - however I believe that I'm the only one supporting the newer 2.x versions of OpenNI/NiTE. It was a great learning experience - and I plan to do lots more experimentation now that the foundation is laid. Feel free to check it out if you're interested in such things, I wrote up a little landing page with relevant links at: http://www.sweatintotheweb.com/nuimotion-for-node-js/ -- -- Job Board: http://jobs.nodejs.org/ Posting guidelines: https://github.com/joyent/node/wiki/Mailing-List-Posting-Guidelines You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "nodejs" group.
