Did you consider a restricted shell in a chroot? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restricted_shell One thing to consider with SE, is its so complex to setup, you may get it "working" in the sense that your app is working, but will you have given node so much permissions that it is now an attack vector? How will you know, in the absence of an SE guru to tell you?
