Hello Isaac, I would be very happy if this setup would be considered for change. I have a strong desire to get updated quickly on security problems with node, but I have no desire to follow the rest of the development as its mostly irrelevant to my deployment.
A nodejs-security-announce Google group would be only a few clicks away, and it would even allow me to forward that to my pager. The methods you described require me to filter for release announcements on this list and do some semi intelligent heuristic on the body of that message, grep for security, SECURITY, or whatnot. Frankly, my procmail is a bit rusty as well. Please don't misunderstand this request as me telling you how to run your show. It only reaffirms that nodejs made it out of the garage and is invited to use the practices of other well-established open/free software projects. Thanks, Clemens Am Montag, 4.
