Thanks for reply, definitely helps, Issue is that the node-request module hijacks and binds itself. I took your approach and tweaked the module to take a context option and use that if its passed. This gives me a workable solution. Hoping that this was a common pattern when making REST clients that have auth needs. Will keep iterating on it, try to get it to better level of re-usability
