Let's say I pipe a file input stream to an HTTP response output stream, for example, to stream an MP3 file.
If I want to do random access to the file during the stream -- for example, to seek ahead, is there some mechanism to interrupt it, and re-start the stream at a new byte offset without terminating the outgoing http stream? I'm trying to build an out of band control mechanism where the system may be streaming a long audio file, and later allow the user to skip ahead, by issuing an out-of-band signal to the server. -- -- Job Board: http://jobs.nodejs.org/ Posting guidelines: https://github.com/joyent/node/wiki/Mailing-List-Posting-Guidelines You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "nodejs" group.
