Thanks for the reply!  That was everything I needed.

There was no sarcasm in my original request for some documentation...I 
simply
had never found http://nodejs.org/api/addons.html nor
https://github.com/joyent/node/wiki/_pages (which, as you point out, has no
central page for add-on docs, but has some good info).  I had visited the 
Home
page on the wiki, browsed through it, saw no relevant links, and left.  It 
never
occurred to me that there was a Pages tab.

I'll give some thought to how these might be made more visible/cohesive, 
then
set to work.
