There is a "magical" npm that can 
help: https://github.com/benschmaus/nodeload

But there also seems to be a problem with Node.js's ability to create HTTP 
load in general:
https://github.com/joyent/node/issues/2809#issuecomment-21967866

so, while Node-load exists, how much load it can realistically generate is 
unclear. 

The tool I've had best luck with generating significant HTTP load is Vegeta 
(https://github.com/tsenart/vegeta)
