hi all,
Our company is looking to start adding metrics collection into our e-commerce/saas-flavored site, and we are beginning to canvas possibile tools for this purpose. Our stack uses riak as a data store, and then pure js (node/express/brunch/bower/backbone/dust) to serve the site. We're now looking into tools that will let us start tracking standard user behaviors on the site like mouse movements, shares, geolocation data, etc. We think that the suite that we pick would have the following criteria: 1. it would conform to REST standards, so as to play well with our Riak store 2. it would have the flexibility, both in terms of software design and license, to let us define the kinds of user behaviors that we want to track and hack together solutions that it does not automatically provide 3. to the maximum degree possible, it would allow us to retain and manage our own data One suite that we started to look at is Open Web Analytics<http://www.openwebanalytics.com/>, but their solution is in PHP and would require a fair amount of hacking on our part. Is there a good metrics collection tool out there that might meet the above criteria?
