Kevin, libuv, the backing OS layer for node.js, translates the ANSI escape codes (when written to stdout) into the appropriate Windows API calls to manipulate the cmd colors. So as long as you're going through node (or simply libuv), then you can use regular ANSI escape codes and they should work.
