Deep and technical questions that involve a perceived problem in Node or its documentation can be directed to the github issue.
Questions that are subjective and about architecting your application are best left to other venues like the mailing list. Getting eyes on your concerns is difficult I know, and campaigning for that is important, you just want to make sure you stay on the right medium and keep people interested in your issue. I will look through the archives to see if there's additional insight I can provide.
