There are plenty of transpilers available:

Java is neither clean nor elegant, but if you need to use it for some reason, I assume one of those will do the job just fine.

If there is a way to write nodejs apps with java (like GWT) it will allow many people to write nodejs applications with clean and elegant manner. But I haven't seen any mature framework allows this.
