Greetings all, I am the Dir. of IT at 100+ year old faith-based NGO that is improving the health of women and children in 5 countries around the world.
We own a 30k sq.ft. distribution center in NYC (Queens, not Manhattan) that distributes more than $500 million worth of donated medicines and supplies around the world. Our current warehouse management (inventory, pick/pack/ship, shelve, reporting) software is ancient - access database, VBScript ver. ??, Windows CE, embedded VBScript 6.xx... it's REALLY REALLY OLD and unsupported. I would like to have a discussion with someone representing a node development shop about developing a replacement system in node.js and mongo (or couch or redis or whatever) that would ultimately be open sourced... I looked around and didn't seen any warehouse distribution software already made in Node.. so this seems like a great opportunity for someone. Please get in touch with me if you'd like to discuss further.. Thanks!
