Hi there, I'm releasing a small Node.js utility project, mekano. It just updates files, with a few extras. It grew from the frustration felt when writing Makefiles or Gruntfiles for small projects, when the needs are plain, boring: just take this bag of coffees/sasses, make them js/css, browserify, minify, that's it. The main fancy feats., compared to make(1), are super-simple semantics for wildcards, for what it's worth; watch out-of-the-box, tracking command-lines, making output dirs. It does minimal updates. It uses its own syntax, no JS, no "plugins". Commands are run by the shell.
https://github.com/jeanlauliac/mekano It's supposed to work on Windows as well, but I did not test yet.
