Hey guys,

I wonder what did happen with http://nodejs.org/dist/npm/ and
latest/greatest NPM releases?

I can see a latest release published there is 1.4.12, but latest release in
1.4.x series is 1.4.21 (via npm info).

I know that nodejs distributions contains npm/cli.js, it that a preferred
way to use npm now?

Not distributing NPM binaries cause issues e.g. for frontend-maven-plugin
[1] and we would need to re-implement this part if NPM distribution
mechanisms changed.

Cheers,
