Hello!

I'm trying to learn Node.js along with Express by making from scratch a
simple blog with basic cms. For that, I'll be needing an admin panel where
I can add new posts, see basics information on every of them (such as
publication date) and so on. When I google 'Node user authentication' (and
other similiar phrases) I get mostly links to ready-to-use packages, such
as Passport. I do not think I need a whole system for that, as there is
gonna be only one user. On the other hand - I want to make it safe. The
last thing I want is learning the Node bad way, for example - by making and
admin panel which can be reached by anyone. So here is my question - what
tools do I need?

Is Node and Express enough for that? If yes - how can it be achived?
Or do I need something like Passport?

Thank you for you help,
Maciej
