I'm watching an MVA tutorial on nodejs, but it's from the last year. It's a 
very simple chat app with no authentication or anything. I managed to get 
rid of most deprecated errors, but this one. 

Running app.js and it will say Parameter url must be a string, not 
undefined. I believe it's to do with socket.
