Robert, I do like the 2 league set up but we should keep with inter league
play because it helps us all stay connected to each other. Second if we go
with 5 teams in playoffs the league winners get a bye the first round.
AS for NEW RULES
Any playoff team unable to net play in the playoffs loses home field
advantage and the oppossing team gets to play all the games. This would force
all teams to do the net play.
Rule 2 We should have a manager's winter meetings before going down to
active roster. This would increase trading. Everyone could get online at a
chat room like yahoo or AOL. As for the draft we should predetermine how many
e-mail rounds we go before it starts so there is no pushing it to go further.
3 rounds is best for me.
LAST RULE... This is the most important rule of all. Once the season starts
there can not be any rule changes or even talking about changes until after the
season. This year we had some newbies that wanted changes in the middle of the
season. Which caused headaches for all and to many wasted e-mails. This
distracts from the season. This league is meant to play for fun and if you
lose just draft better next year.

For the 2010 season we will be going to 2 divisions (AL and NL) with the top 4
or maybe 5 teams in each going to the playoffs. In 09 for the first time we
had a team win 91 games in their division and finished third with a team under
500 going to the playoffs. Thus it comes time to update the rules. If 5 teams
then the team with the best record in each division will get a 1st round bye, 2
vs 5 and 3 vs 4. Also the first round will be ONLY 5 games as the MLB and game
5 must be netplay! All other series will be 7 games and again all game 7s must
be netplay!
Also since the world series already has 1 of the teams named D.M (and the other
1 determined this wk end) now is the time to start our ballpark draft! Anyone
wanting a new park (ML ballpark must be used) please advise now. I will start
off the process by announcing (we will be starting our 10th season in Dec.) VA
will be moving from Washington to another park. Thus add that park to list of
available parks to be drafted! Would someone please make a list of parks
currently available??? Assuming the website is correct (and I am) you should
be able to use to assist in this list.
Also I have someone reviewing and updating current rules (SORRY but I have
forgotten who was willing to do that for me). Please advise and update me on
where you are at. We are going to keep the waiver draft (AKA:I stink draft) as
a yearly event. Teams that will be in this draft for 2010 are in order:

I am willing to listen to any and all comments about this additions to 2010 and
beyond. What do you think about these changes?? Should we go with 4 or 5
teams? I am looking for to this discussion. Also should we still have
inter-league play or just play teams in their league??? Also how should we
determine which league each team will play, maybe by location???
Also VA needs a catch that hits vs LHP, SS to replace inj Jose Reyes, seeking a
closer for 20010.

Trey if you would take time to complete/send him the info need file out the
rest of your info for the website ASAP that will make PHILS your for the 2010
season. Also remove R.City has they have no manager at this time. LASTLY Mr.
Black would you also provide the info missing on the website so we can fill it
in. This is good for trades, netplay, etc.
