I would agree with the logic explained below, but I believe the original intent was to give the #1 seed a bye for being the best in their respective leagues? By going as proposed below all we are doing is adding a 5th team to the mix? Maybe that is OK, but not the original thought? Am I correct in this Robert?Or maybe it was to get more playoff teams?
